Events

Our lunchtime concerts usually take place on the first Friday of the month, from 12.30 to 1.15pm. The April concert is being held on March 31st because the first Friday in April is Good Friday. They are kindly sponsored by Ballet4Life and promoted on organrecitals.uk and in The New London Organ Concerts Guide.
Admission is free with a retiring collection (please add Gift Aid where possible) for the church’s music fund. All welcome.

This month’s organist will be Phoebe Take Man Chow (St Martin-in-the-Fields and All Saints Orpington).

Phoebe Tak Man Chow (BMus, MPerf, ARCO) was appointed the Director of Music of All Saints’ Church Orpington in 2020, and she plays at St-Martin-in-the-Fields and St Stephen Walbrook regularly. She held the post of Assistant Director of Music at Saint Finbarr’s Cathedral, Ireland from 2017 to 2019, where she was the principal accompanist, and trained choristers and several school choirs.

Prior to her appointment in Ireland, she held organist posts at several London churches and at Emanuel School, Battersea.  During her studies at the Royal College of Music, she received the Flentrop Organ Scholarship and the Walford Davies Organ Prize.

She came third in the Glasgow Organist Association Centenary Organ Competition in 2012 and has performed at many prestigious venues such as Truro Cathedral, Bristol Cathedral and Brentwood Cathedral. Outside of work, she enjoys sewing and experimenting with exotic recipes.
