Lunchtime Organ Concert: Polina Sosnina
Our lunchtime concerts take place on the first Friday of the month. They are kindly sponsored by Ballet4Life. Admission is free with a retiring collection (please add Gift Aid where possible) for the church‘s music fund.
This month’s organist will be Polina Sosnina, Associate Organist at St Martin-in-the-Fields and Organ Scholar at the London Oratory. She is currently studying at the Royal College of Music with David Graham, Andrew Dewar and Sophie-Véronique Cauchefer-Choplin.
Since graduating from Magdalene College, Cambridge, Polina has held organ scholarships at Temple Church and St Martin-in-the-Fields, and the Director of Music post at St Thomas of Canterbury Church, Brentwood. Recent performances include recitals at Temple Church, Westminster Abbey and St John’s Smith Square. During the pandemic, Polina was fortunate to give three virtual recitals: one on the theme ‘Bach, Family and Friends’ as an Emerging Artist for the London Bach Society; a Bach Bites recital at the Royal College of Music; and a performance of Percy Whitlock’s music at St Michael’s Cornhill.
Polina is grateful to the RCO, Organists Charitable Trust and Eric Thompson Trust for their generous support of her studies.
