Lunchtime Organ Concert: Callum Anderson

Our lunchtime concerts, on the first Friday of the month, resumed in the church on September 3rd 2021, after the success of Jonathan Dods’s Organ Concert in the Bedford Park Festival. They’ll take place throughout the autumn: on October 1st (Callum Anderson, St Peter’s Acton Green), November 5th (Jonathan Lilley, Waltham Abbey) and December 3rd (Polina Sosnina, St Martin in the Fields/Brompton Oratory). They are sponsored by Ballet4Life.

Admission is free with a retiring collection (with Gift Aid where possible, please) for the church‘s music fund.

This month’s organist will be Callum Anderson (right), organist at St Peter’s Acton Green in Southfield Road, our sister church.

Callum was the Organ Scholar of St. Marylebone Parish Church from 2018-2020, previously holding scholarships at St. Mary Redcliffe Church (Bristol) and St. Mary’s Church (Battersea). He won the Fiona Hunt and Bristol District Association of Organists trophies in 2015 and 2016, and was a semi-finalist in the RCO/IAO international organ competition in 2018. He was awarded the ARCO organ diploma in 2018 (Associate of the Royal College of Organists). Callum is also a harpsichordist, having just completed a Masters Degree in Historical Performance at the Royal Academy of Music with a distinction.
