Tickets on sale for the Chiswick Book Festival

This year’s Chiswick Book Festival – run and hosted by St Michael & All Angels – opened on Thursday September 15th at Chiswick House & Gardens with a special event looking at ‘Queen Victoria in Fact & Fiction’. A.N. Wilson, author of the critically acclaimed biography Victoria: A Life, and Daisy Goodwin, writer of the new ITV series Victoria starring Jenna Coleman (pictured), explored the surprising contrasts between the Queen’s public and private lives. It was the first of more than 30 sessions featuring over 80 speakers, on a wide range of topics, including history, politics and economics, fiction, crime, memoir, biography, food, wine and books for children. They included children’s favourites Dame Jacqueline Wilson and Cressida Cowell; comedy writers and performers such as Andy Hamilton, Shappi Khorsandi, Mark Watson and the creators of the Ladybird Books for Grown Ups series, Jason Hazeley and Joel Morris.  Dates for 2017 Book Festival will be announced in due course
