Baptisms, Banns, Weddings, Funerals

Dozens of baptisms are conducted at St Michael & All Angels each year, and several weddings and funerals too.

Our Baptism Visitors visit families who would like their child baptised at St Michael’s. It is an important pastoral role, helping to welcome new people to the church, introducing them to a member of the congregation and providing an opportunity to answer questions about Baptism. The Baptism visitors then assist at the Baptism services as sidespersons and welcomers. There is an annual Baptism party in September for families whose children have been Baptised in the last three years.  If you would like your child baptised at St Michael’s please speak to one of the clergy after a service or contact the Parish Office.

We can also arrange for funerals in the church to be streamed and recorded.  Click the link below to see the video recording of David Beresford’s funeral.
