We have offered to stock the newspaper while the publishers sort out their new distribution arrangements in this part of Chiswick. You can also read the digital edition by clicking the link above.
The Chiswick Times replaces the old free paper The Chiswick but is more substantial, carrying much of the content of the Hounslow and Brentford Times (formerly the Brentford, Chiswick & Isleworth Times). It costs 50p in newsagents and is now available in Lad's on Bedford Corner and some other shops. Free copies are delivered in parts of W4, but not this parish.
The local paper is important to St Michael’s because it carries many stories about the church. In the November 14th edition, see the pictures of our Remembrance Service on page 2; a story about our problems with vandalism on page 3; and coverage of our Remembrance stories from the Great War on page 19. In the November 21st edition, the Remembrance stories continue. On December 5th it featured the Festival donation to Musequality.
It also plays a key part in our publicity for activities and events at St Michael’s and for the Bedford Park Festival in June.
