The Bedford Park Festival is Chiswick’s biggest community event and offers a wide range of opportunities for local businesses. If you’re new to the area and want to be known; or well-established and planning a promotion; or simply looking to put something back into the community, the Bedford Park Festival could be the answer.
The 2007 Festival raised over £40,000 for charities and St Michael & All Angels church. This year’s Festival raised a similar amount to be divided between: Musequality, the new charity set up by David Juritz, leader of the London Mozart Players, who lives in Bedford Park; the Upper Room, feeding the community in need in west London; improvements to the fabric and fittings of St Michael & All Angels church; and the church's trust fund.
Almost 150 local businesses supported last year’s Festival: their names were published in the press and on posters, and are still listed here, linked to their own sites.

Next year’s Green Days fete will take place on June 12th and 13th, opposite Turnham Green tube station, and will be opened by a local celebrity. In recent years, these have included Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Mary Nightingale, Emily Maitlis, Rageh Omaar, John Humphrys, Sir Peter Blake, Kevin McNally, Elizabeth McGovern and Charlie Brooks.
There is a wide range of commercial opportunities, and spending levels.
Diamond sponsors donate £1,000 or more;
gold sponsors donate cash or goods worth £500 or more;
silver sponsors donate £250 or more. Their names are published online and in the Festival leaflet, delivered to over 3,000 homes and shops in Chiswick.
- The big marquees and events over Green Days weekend - such as the beer and refreshments tents or the 5-a-side football - can display large sponsors’ banners or estate agents’ boards. These go for £500 or £1,000.
- Smaller stands on Green Days - such as the Children’s Corner and musical performances on the Bandstand - can support smaller banners and boards and go for around £250. Sponsors can distribute leaflets on the Green and link to their websites from the Festival’s.
- Prizes - gifts and vouchers - are sought for Green Days events, such as the High Roller Tombola. Many restaurants donate free meals for the Win-a-Meal contest. We’re also grateful to local traders who give us free produce for the refreshments stands. All these receive publicity at the stands and on the website.
- Festival events such as concerts, talks, walks, exhibitions and drama productions can also be sponsored and promoted on posters, programmes and the website. The price for these ranges from £200 to £500.
This year's major sponsors included: Fletchers, Bushells, Savills, Andrew Nunn, Chesterton, Faron Sutaria, MOVETO, SweatyBetty, Oliver Bonas, Andreas Georghiou, Howard Russell, Solnick & Co, Hamptons, Grundon Waste Management, High Road House, Hartswood Property, Snappy Snaps and Vibeke Dahl. The Win-a-Car contest was sponsored by Volkswagen Chiswick.
There will be opportunities to sponsor the Crafts Marquee, the children's corner and the bands on Green Days; and other Festival events such as the Art Exhibition, the Open Gardens, the Children’s Musical and the Jazz Night, as well as smaller events and stalls.
